Petraeus’ Ghostbiographer Confesses To Being Clueless

The Washington Post’s Vernon Loeb, who had just finished ghosting another CIA memoir, asserts in this interview and article that he was clueless about the affair between the CIA Director Petraeus and his co-author Paula Broadwell.

Being clueless about the subject and co-author of a book one is working on might be an indication that the biography produced might be riddled with shortcomings but from an historian’s point of view Loeb’s and Broadwell’s biography is a landmark work that captures the fall and collapse of American intelligence. Angleton’s Revenge, mentioned previously on this site, is being played out in this affair in full fury.
